Necro Fissure of Woe - Which armour?
Hey there,
I was wonderin whether somone could help me out. I've recently started saving for my Fissure of Woe armour and now have to decide which armour to get. As a necro I think price wise it would be sensible to get tatto's since these require only ecto and are 8K a piece. Is this a wise decision? Can somone give me some guidance on this matter. Should I bother saving shards too for another armour or would this just be plain stupid? Any help or input would be very much appreciated.
Thanks.

the scar pattern you are saving for is the one with spikes coming out of your boddy. imo its the best looking armor in the game.

He isnt asking if you like it, but yes go with tat's much more sensible mainly because a big energy boost and its cheaper also armor for casters is always weak so 5-10 difference wont matter

The Tormentor's + Necrotics +5 holy damage taken per piece
The scar patern armour gives me more energy
The Bonelace n Cultist's is +15 AL against piercing damage
I like the 70 AL of tormentor's n Necrotics...but +20 holy damage taken is bad, im leaning towards Scar patern as it's cheapest and has + energy which is always useful.
i'm going for scar patern

Doesn't all Necro FoW armor look the same? I've only ever seen one picture of Necro FoW armor and apart from color, they all looked the same regardless of which "kind" you get.
Is this the case? If not can any one point me in the direction of pictures of complete sets of each different type of FoW armor for each class?

Seeing as how Bloodstained boots are going to have an effect, according to the description, you may want to consider picking up one of these, if you run corpse targeting builds sometimes.

Is there a fow style bloodstained boots? And also, necro loincloth ftl. To stay on topic i would recomend scars, as a caster you shouldnt be getting hit too much in groups anyways, and the extra points of energy always help. Not to mention you save a few hundred k on shards.

*Cough*
Necro FoW... most awesome armor... ever.... *topple*
Seriously, it is. AAaaaaaanyways, I think most people generally go for the energy on FoW armor... I'd take the scar patterns myself, only reason I don't use them on necro (at 15k) is because I don't like the look... with FoW that concern is negated.

It seems to me that scar patterns/tatoos/anything that only req's ecto and no shards looks slightly different than the normal fow armor.
My monk's FoW aescetic armor seems slightly translucent, as if it were shining and dyes opposite like tatoos.
I can't verify this, as it might just be my imagination. Can anyone verify?

Nothing wrong with my video card. I verified the "translucentness" of my monk's FoW armor with a guildmate. He noticed the same thing.
Strangely it shines more in the shadows than it does in the sunlight. Like I said, I do not know if this is an issue for all monk armor or all non-obsidian armor, but the translucent effect is definatly there.
Then again, monk armor is very light compared to necro, so who knows.
I personally like this effect, it is subtle and adds a little something to the armor.
